Release note

Preliminary – TextAid June 2023 (v 4.15.0)

These are the preliminary release notes for the June 2023 minor release. The version was bumped to 4.15 due to a planned mini release that was delayed and then merged into the June release.

Planned release window: 2023-06-14 – 2023-06-16

Please note that since ReadSpeaker docReader is integrated into TextAid, some of the points in the docReader Release Notes are relevant for TextAid too.

Shared Exams Log

There is now a log for shared exams, which makes it possible for coordinators and teachers to see which exams were shared with which students in the last 30 days. It can be found in the main menu, under Organization > Exam Log. Note: Only exams shared after this update will be visible in the log. #6807

Reintroduce the Exam Timer

The exam timer has made a comeback in this version. It is disabled by default, but can be enabled by the coordinator for all exams, or by a teacher for each individual exam. #5932

When activated, the timer displays the remaining time before an exam needs to be submitted:

By clicking on the time, it can be collapsed to just a button, so as to not cause stress for the student:
